Global Volunteer Network and World Wealth Foundation are pleased to award the first five $5,000 scholarships to the following individuals:
-Gillian Burt, Canada
-Jenna Praschma, South Africa/U.K
-Muhamad Usman, Indonesia
-Jyoti Rai, Nepal
-Kent Mcilraith, New Zealand
Colin Salisbury, Global Volunteer Network Founder and President says that scholarships aim to provide opportunities for people passionate about social change.
“Each scholarship is designed to provide individuals with the tools and support necessary to develop their passion into projects with lasting positive change.”

http://www.gvnscholarships.org/Each Scholar will receive a ticket to GVN’s Be The Change Conference and be given the opportunity to volunteer for up to one month with one of our programs in either Africa, South America, or Asia.
The Scholars are about to embark on an incredible journey and the best part is we get to share it with them! Through their video blogs, the Scholars will be keeping us all up to date on their travels and experiences so stay tuned!

The first round of GVN 'Be The Change' Scholars will be announced in just five days!
The names and videos of the five winners will be posted on the website on 10 August 2010 at approximately 5pm (NZST - UTC/GMT +12 hours)!
